Day 1
Arrival at Delhi International Airport

Reception at the airport by our local representative and transfer to the hotel with your driver. Then meet with your guide to present your trip and share the necessary and important details of your tour. Start of your stay with a visit to Humayun’s Tomb, a magnificent example of Mughal architecture, which houses the tomb of Emperor Humayun as well as 150 members of the royal family, hence its necropolis of the dynasty Mughal. Then visit the Red Fort, also called the Shahjahanabad Palace-Fort or Lal Qil’ah: a fortress of Mughal architecture located in Old Delhi built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2007. In the evening, explore the Chandni Chowk market, famous for its colorful clothing stalls. You will live a fascinating experience of Indian traffic in the middle of this district. Then walk to Connaught Market, built by the British before Independence. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2
Delhi - Churu (Day train)
After breakfast, your stay continues with your transfer to the train station for your first authentic Indian experience: taking the train to Churu, at the gateway to the desert. Then you will stay in an old haveli (one of those sumptuous houses built in the 18th and early 19th centuries by merchants who made their fortune in the caravan trade) over 100 years old for a well-deserved rest. You can take a walk in the village to admire the murals on the old houses. Return and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
Churu - all day tour

After breakfast, destination Churu where you will choose to experience a camel ride or a jeep safari. These activities will allow you to see the daily life in this small village. In the countryside, you will have the opportunity to spot deer. The rest of the day will be devoted to discovering the surroundings, on foot, meeting the villagers and their daily life. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4
Churu - Bikaner

After breakfast, you will drive to Bikaner, a modern town that has developed around its fort. Arrival at your hotel then visit Fort Junagadh (built by King Rai Singh) with several ancient palaces and a museum open to all. It is one of the few major forts in Rajasthan that is not built on a hill. Return to the hotel.

Day 5
Bikaner – Jaisalmer

After breakfast, visit the Deshnok temple dedicated to Karni Mata (a Hindu sage), also called “the temple of the sacred rats” (invaded by many rats, which are sacred and treated as such, their presence blessing those who frequent the temple which grants them religious protection). You can also visit a camel farm. Then departure for the long road to Jaisalmer – the citadel city. The city of Jaisalmer, nicknamed the Golden City, is known for its havelis, numerous yellow houses, its imposing fort and its sacred lake Gadisagar. Above all, it is the gateway to the great Thar Desert. Then arrive at the hotel to enjoy your evening.

Day 6
Jaisalmer - Thar Desert

In the morning, visit the Jaisalmer fort, where families still live, then visit a haveli. In the afternoon, drive to the Thar Desert by jeep with on the way visiting the known sites of Bada Bagh, a Jain temple, the unusual village of Kuldhara (abandoned village). Then arrive at your camp. Sunset camel ride in a beautiful landscape. Dinner organized in the desert under the stars accompanied by a dance performance to the background of local music. Night at the bivouac in the tent.

Day 7
Thar Desert - Jaisalmer - Jaipur (night train)

After breakfast in the desert, continue to Jaisalmer. Visit of the Gadisagar reservoir lake, built by the first chief Raja Rawal Jaisal. In the past, the lake was the main reservoir of Jaisalmer. It supplied the whole city with water. The lake is surrounded by temples and shrines. According to legend, a wealthy courtesan named Tila had the Tilaki Pol gate built on the path leading to the lake. Jealous of this benefactress, the princesses of the palace wanted to destroy the building. But to prevent its demolition, Tila would have transformed the upper part of the door into a temple dedicated to Krishna. In the evening, transfer to the train station to take an overnight train to Jaipur. Night on board, in an air-conditioned wagon.

Day 8
Jaipur - all day tour

Early in the morning, arrive in Jaipur and transfer directly to the hotel. Return a few hours before visiting the City Palace, a set of Maharaja palaces, including the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces, built by Sawai Jai Singh II. Continuation of the visit with the discovery of the Palace of the Winds built in red and pink sandstone by King Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. It is considered one of the wonders of Rajput architecture. The palace is a pyramid-shaped monument of five floors which rises to 15 m. The first three floors of the structure are the width of a single room, while the first and second floors have additional balconies. Its unique five-story facade resembles the honeycomb of a beehive with its (it seems) 953 small windows called Jharokhâ, decorated with intricate lattices of stone or wood. The original intention was to allow the ladies of the royal harem to observe daily life on the streets without being seen. The architecture of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) built in sandstone is magnificent. Evening free to explore the colorful market and buy souvenirs. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9
Jaipur - Bundi

Your day begins by exploring Amber Fort, the original seat of royal power and one of the most beautiful buildings in Rajasthan, with an elephant ride. Visit of the fort with the great history of the Mughal era. Then drive to Bundi, a small historic town. Visit of the small market and an old baori. Baori are step wells very common in India with intricate shapes richly decorated with paintings or sculptures and very impressive sizes. Evening rest in a small village and overnight at the hotel.

Bundi - Barli

Barli - all day tour

You will be free to explore the surroundings on foot, meet people, eat with them, enjoy the swimming pool, have an Ayurvedic massage, a tour of the palace, a bullock safari (a kind of cart pulled by oxen) in the village. We offer you a traditional royal dinner in your hotel (contact us). Night in an old Fort of Barli.

Day 12
Barli - Udaipur

After breakfast, departure for Udaipur, the city of lakes. On the way, visit Chittorgarh Fort, Rajput architecture, the largest fort in India consisting of several temples, ancient palaces with huge gates. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Udaipur. Evening free to visit the market and overnight at the hotel.

Day 13
Udaipur - full day tour

Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the city of Udai throughout the day. Udaipur is surrounded by lakes Pichola, Fateh Sagar and Swaroop Sagar. Visit the City Palace, one of the most beautiful palaces in Rajasthan, a complex set of Maharaja palaces, including the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces. The King still lives in part of his palace today. In the evening, walk to Lake Pichola and the possibility of attending a religious ceremony at the Jagdish temple. We recommend that you book your dinner at the Ambrai restaurant, which is very well located next to the lake and which is considered one of the best restaurants in Udaipur.

Day 14
Udaipur - Delhi international airport (flight)

After breakfast and according to your domestic flight schedule to Delhi, possibility to visit the city of Udaipur with your driver. Then flight to Delhi and transfer to the international airport.
