Classic North India Tour from Delhi, the historic city of India par excellence, which is also the capital, the journey begins with the discovery of Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan with a grand past.

The journey continues with many visits to famous places, including the Taj Mahal of Agra, a tourist hotspot, for its beauty and the love it symbolizes, then the temples and palaces of Orchha and the sacred river Betwa located in Madhya Pradesh.
You will discover during your stay the erotic temples of Khajuraho, classified in the world heritage of UNESCO, absolutely unique and famous for their many sculptures of erotic scenes.

Day 1
Arrival at Delhi International Airport

Our Classic North India Tour Package starts with reception at the airport by our local representative and transfer to the hotel with your driver. Then meet with your guide to present your trip and share the necessary and important details of your tour.

Your North India Tours from Delhi & Rajasthan begins with the capital Delhi with a visit to the Red Fort: a fortress of Mughal architecture located in the old town, built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and listed since 2007 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Continuation of the visit to the local market of Chandni Chowk, famous for its displays of colorful clothes. It remains one of the largest wholesale markets in Delhi, very well known in India. You will have a fascinating experience of Indian traffic in the middle of this district.

Visit the tomb of Humâyûn, Magnificent illustration of Mughal architecture. At the end of the visit, walk to the Connaught market, built by the English before Independence. Return and rest at the hotel.

Day 2
Delhi - Jaipur

Departure for Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan. Arrival at the hotel in the afternoon and visit the City Palace, a complex of Maharaja palaces, notably including the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal palaces.

Continuation of the visit with the discovery of the monument of Jantar Mantar built by Sawai Jai Singh (astronomical observatory made up of several instruments integrated into the architecture of the site). It is one of five observatories of the genre built from 1724 under the direction of MaharajaJai Singh II of Jaipur in response to the desire of the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah to update the calendar and the astronomical tables). At the end of the day, walk to discover the small colorful markets and return to the hotel.

Day 3
Jaipur - all-day tour

Your day begins with the discovery of Fort Amber, the original seat of royal power and one of the most beautiful buildings in Rajasthan, with an elephant ride. Visit the fort with the great history of the Mughal era. Continuation of visits by the famous monument: the Palace of the Winds, built in red and pink sandstone by King Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. It is considered one of the marvels of Rajput architecture.

The palace is a five-storey pyramid-shaped monument that rises 15 m. The first three floors of the structure are the width of a single room, while the first and second floors have additional balconies. Its unique five-story facade is like the honeycomb of a beehive with its (it seems) 953 small windows called Jharokhâ, decorated with intricate latticework of stone or wood.

The original intention was to allow the ladies of the royal harem to observe daily life in the street below without being seen. The architecture of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) built in sandstone is magnificent. In the evening, Bollywood film in a former Raj Mandir cinema and return to the hotel.

Day 4
Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

After breakfast, drive to Agra. On the way, first stop at Abhaneri which is about 100 kms from Jaipur.

Visit the Chand Baori and a Hindu temple then make a second stop at Fatehpur Sikri, former imperial capital of the Mughal empire founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar who had decided to make this city his capital instead of Agra . Road to Agra and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5
Agra - Jhansi (train) - Orchha

Early in the morning, at sunrise, visit the famous Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, built by the Mughal emperor Shâh Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is erected at the bottom of a closed rectangular ornamental garden.

Then transfer to Agra station to live the incredible experience of a train journey to the city of Jhansi. Arriving at Jhansi station, you will take the road to Orchha to get to your hotel. In the evening, free time for a walk in the surroundings. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6
Orchha - visit (all day)

Day dedicated to the visit of the 16th century old town of Orchha, located on the bank of the Betwa river in Madhya Pradesh. Continue by visiting the Ram Raja temple, a Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to the Ram God.

Then visit the great historic fort, with its beautiful architecture, followed by the discovery of two large palaces, the Jahangir Mahal, the most elegant example of Mughal architecture and the Raj Mahal, famous for its superb murals.

In the evening, you will attend a light show which tells you the history of Fort Raj Mahal in detail. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 7
Orchha - Khajuraho

After breakfast at the hotel, departure to Khajuraho, a religious city with 22 large Hindu and Jain temples, from the 10th and 11th centuries, largely well preserved. Tourist site very visited, if not the most visited, of all India which appears in the world heritage of UNESCO since 1986.

Arrival at the hotel and continuation of the temples visits with superb architectures. Free time in the evening.

Day 8
Khajuraho - Satna - Varanasi (night train)

In the morning, visit the temples of Khajuraho known for their erotic sculptures then visit the Panna national park with its significant fauna and incredible flora. Transfer to Satna station to take the train again to Varanasi and live a new unforgettable experience. Overnight on the train (air-conditioned wagon).

Day 9
Varanasi - all day tour

Arrival at Varanasi station then transfer to the hotel with your driver waiting for you at the station. Varanasi also called Benares is considered the spiritual capital of India. It attracts Hindu pilgrims who come to bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges and indulge in funeral rituals.

The winding streets of the city are dotted with some 2,000 temples including that of Kashi Vishwanath, the “Golden Temple”, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Visit the sacred city, walk along the Ganges river at sunset. Continue with a visit to the temples located in the city. In the evening, Hindu religious ceremony.

Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 10
Varanasi - Sarnath - Varanasi:

Excursion to Sarnath, the place of the first sermon of the Buddha. Today, one can see in Sarnath many ruins of stupas and temples built at various times and several Buddhist temples.

Discovery of the large statue which represents Buddha, built in 2009-2010. Visit this very populated and touristic region.

Return to the hotel in the evening..

Day 11
Varanasi - Delhi (flight)

Early in the morning, possibility of a boat trip on the Ganges. Then return to the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Welcome at Delhi airport by your driver and transfer to the hotel.

Discovery of Qûtub Minâr, a gigantic minaret and one of the most visited tourist sites in Delhi. The visit will continue with the Lotus Temple, very different from all the other temples, in the shape of a lotus flower, a symbol of purity inextricably linked to the religious spirit in India.

Considered the “Mother Temple” of South Asia, it is a monument that aims to be open to all beliefs. This remarkable architectural work has received numerous awards. Return and rest at the hotel.

Day 12
Delhi International Airport

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Delhi International Airport. Depending on the flight schedule, you will be free to visit the city with your driver or to chat with your local guide to give your opinion on your stay.
