Travel to West Bengal located in East India has a lot of things varied for travelers. Your itinerary is a mix of all the important and famous sites like a major city tour of Kolkata where there is different history and culture than the other region of India, visit a Sunderbans National Park by boat which is known for white tigers in India. Then visit the small village of Shantiniketan known for handicrafts and founded by Rabindranath Tagore, a famous poet from India. Discovered the temples and traditional culture of Bishnupur, a small village.
To have an experience on the night train in India, visit the place of Darjeeling which is known for its tea plantations and the mountains. Visit several Buddhist monasteries, a Ghum monastery in Darjeeling, a Pemeyangste monastery established in the 17th century in Pelling, Rumtak monastery in Gangtok, the mountains and lakes of Gangtok and also discovered the small village of Kalimpong.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Kolkata International Airport::

Reception at the airport (usually overnight) by our representative and transfer to the hotel with your driver. Night at the hotel.

Day 2

Kolkata: visit - all day:

All day city tour of Kolkata, Dalhousie quarre, flower market, Howrah Bridge, St. Paul’s

Church, Victoria Memorial. Evening, free time to explore the region. Night at the hotel.

Day 3

Kolkata - Sunderban Tiger Reserve:

Early in the morning, drive to a Gothkhali landing stage from where you take the boat to your ecological resort. Then check in and have your lunch. At the end of the afternoon, a walk in the village of Dayapur where you can see how the people live, its cuisine, its farming methods. In the evening, visit the village market and return to the resort to eat and watch a short film on the Sundarbans tigers. Dinner at resort.

Day 4

Sunderban Tiger Reserve: visit - all day:

After breakfast, embark on a cruise and continue to the Sundarbans forest. You will pass through dense forest on several rivers, then visit the deer reintegration center and continue to Malta, the point where you see the Bay of Bengal. Arrive at resort for your midday lunch, after visiting the island of Pakhiralay which is not located very far from your resort. In the evening, attend a local show called Bonbibi yatra in a theater. In this show he has a very good story of Tiger, God of the forest, a fisherman, with several songs and dances by local people. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

Sunderban Tiger Reserve - Kolkata:

Early in the morning after breakfast embark on a cruise and continue to Sudhayakhali watchtower from where you can see several animals like tiger, deer, elephant, monkey. Return to your resort and transfer to Gothkhali pier and drive to Kolkata.

Day 6

Kolkata - Shantiniketan:

Road to Shantiniketan, a place founded in 1863 by the father of Rabindranath Tagore, a

famous poet from India. Arrive at the hotel and start the tour of the region, Kopai River and Khoai, Handicap Center called Amir Kutir, Art Gallery, Museum and Deer Park. In the evening, you will be free to explore the region.

Day 7

Shantiniketan - Bishnupur:

After breakfast, drive to Bishnupur. A small village with several temples and the old culture of the Bengalis. Take a walk and discover the region, return to the hotel in the evening.

Day 8

Bishnupur - Kolkata - New Jalpaiguri (Night train):

Continue to Kolkata by road, dedicated day in the city and in the evening transfer to the station for an overnight train to New Jalpaiguri. Night at the edge.

Day 9

New Jalpaiguri - Darjeeling:

Early in the morning arrive at New Jalpaiguri station and drive to Darjeeling. a town in West Bengal and known for its tea plantations. On arrival directly transfer to the hotel, in the evening visit the market to buy souvenirs and take a walk in this quiet region.

Day 10

Darjeeling: visit - all day:

Early in the morning, continued to visit the two more famous sites “Tiger Hill” and

“Ghoom Monastery”. With the superb view on the top, Tiger Hill will be a unique experience of your trip. Then visit the Himalayan zoo, a mountain institute, Tibetan refugee center and in the evening visit the tea plantations. Night at the hotel.

Day 11

Darjeeling - Pelling:

Drive to Pelling and arrive at the hotel. Then visit the small village located just 26kms from Mt. Kangchenjunga. Rest well in your hotel quietly with a magnificent view of the mountains.

Day 12

Pelling: visit - all day:

In the morning visit the Pemeyangste monastery, established in the 17th century. It is one of the oldest and most important Buddhist monastery. Discover the ruins of Rabdentse and also visit the Changay waterfall. Return and overnight at the hotel.

Day 13

Pelling - Gangtok:

Arrive and continue to Gangtok, another town in Sikkim. Evening, free time to explore the region and rest at the hotel.

Day 14

Gangtok: visit - all day:

After the full day breakfast devoted to visit the region, begins with a visit to a Rumtak

monastery, a research institute, a cottage industry and an old monastery. Night at the hotel.

Day 15

Gangtok - Kalimpong:

Drive to Kalimpong and arrive at the hotel. Then, visit the small village known for its monastery and the flower garden. Have a good rest at your hotel.

Day 16

Kalimpong - Bagdogra - Kolkata (flight):

Your last day begins with the drive to Bagdogra Airport. Then, your return flight to Kolkata.
