This popular city is known for its wildlife and spice plantations in the Western Ghats. Wayanad is part of a forest reserve on the border of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is a fertile home for animals such as Asian elephants, tigers, leopards and storks. It offers incredible scenic beauty due to its blanket of wild greenery, along with a wildlife viewing experience.

Manantawadi is the oldest city in the Wanayad region and was founded in the 19th century. A garrison city during British rule, Manantawadi also has a rich history of colonial architecture.
Sultan Bathery is a town in the mountainous region of Wayanad in Kerala. In the Ambukuti Hills to the southwest, the Edakal Caves contain ancient petroglyphs, some dating back to the Neolithic period.Nearby, the Wayanad Heritage Museum displays archaeological and tribal artifacts.
Kozhikode (Calicut) is a coastal city in the southern Indian state of Kerala. It was an important center for the spice trade and is close to Kappad Beach, where the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landed in 1498. Kozhikode Central Beach, overlooking the old lighthouse, is a popular place to watch the sunset.

Itinerary

Day 1

Kozikode (Calicut) – Vythiri (Wayanad)

Upon arrival at Kozikode (Calicut) Airport/Train Station, you will be greeted by our representative. Then continue on to

Wayanad Tour Package 1 Wayanad which will be a stunning journey through the clouds and hills on the winding Ghat road. There is an optional stop at the Lakidi viewpoint to view the stunning terrain and vastness of the mighty Western Ghats. Take a break for few minutes at Chain Tree on the National Highway (optional), then arrive at your hotels booked in Wayanad and check in. Afternoon excursions include Puokode Lake (boat ride – optional) and Suchipara Falls. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Vythiri – Mananthavady – Vythiri

Your journey to Wayanad continues on the second day with breakfast to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest land dam in India and the second largest in Asia, the Pazhassi Raja Tomb and the Pazhassi Raja Museum in Manantawadi. Another interesting part of your visit is Kuruvadweep, a series of small islands in the Kabini River. This adventure site is open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The islands are completely closed during the rainy season. After this visit come back to the hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 3

Vythiri – Sulthan Bathery – Vythiri

Edakkal Caves Wayanad Sulthan Bathery

Our third day tour starts in the early morning or after breakfast with a trip to Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary. The reserve opens at 0630 am, which is an ideal time to explore the wilderness. Further visits include Jain Temples, Edakal Caves, Vayanad Heritage Museum and the Phantom Rock site where you will return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4

Wayanad – Kozikode – Departure

After breakfast and check-out, chauffeur will take you to Kozikode (Calicut), making a short stop at Kappad Beach. Later arrive at Calicut Airport/Rail Station at night.
